History gives us the opportunity to learn from past mistakes. It helps us understand the many reasons why people may behave the way they do. As a result, it helps us become more compassionate as people and more impartial as decision makers. Our judicial system is a perfect example of this concept at work.

What I learned or what I have learned?
Past Simple tense (I learned) tells only about the fact that occured in the past, while Present Perfect tense (I have learned) indicates a connection between the fact in the past and the present situation. The sentence says only that in some moment in the past I lost them, but later I could have found them.

Do everything you can to make sure you can study every day instead of studying for long hours for 1 or 2 days of the week. Take frequent breaks while studying, try different methods such as the Pomodoro technique, the 50/10 technique etc.
