Install your TxTag in three easy steps.

  1. Clean. Clean and dry the inside of your windshield.
  2. Position. Your TxTag goes on the inside of your windshield behind the rearview mirror.
  3. Stick. Peel off the clear backing on the gray side and stick the gray side to the inside of the windshield.

What tolls cover TxTag?

TxTag is operated by the Texas Department of Transportation. It manages all toll transactions on Loop 1, SH 45 N, SH 45 SE and SH 130 in the Austin area and TxTag tag transactions anywhere in the state. TxTag toll bills can be resolved by visiting TxTag.org or by calling 1-888-468-9824.

Is TxTag compatible with EZ tag?

Yes. All Harris County operated toll road lanes designated with an EZ TAG-ONLY sign will also accept your TxTag or NTTA TollTag for payment, provided your account is in good standing and the vehicle’s license plate is registered with your tag. Valid toll tags will be charged the EZ TAG rate where applicable.

How do I remove a Texas toll tag from my windshield?

Hold the TollTag away from the glass with one hand and press one edge to the glass. Stick the TollTag to the glass by rubbing your thumb up and down in a zigzag motion across the entire TollTag surface. Be sure to rub over the Tag’s center chip to remove as much air as possible.

How do I get a new ETAG holder?

  1. Open the Linkt app.
  2. Tap the My Account tab.
  3. Tap Tags.
